I have an unusual background. I grew up in a middle class family in a small town, in the beautiful country side of New York State. Even though my father had a masters in psychology from Syracuse University (finishing his degree in record time), he chose to start his own business instead of hanging out a shingle to practice psychology. My mother was a working, stay at home mom. Always there because the business was at our home. I was so lucky.
Always being around the business (from the year I was born) I had the best education in business you could get, a lifetime of "the customer is always right and always comes first". From inventory control, sales, service, etc., I was always made aware of what was going on.
After leaving college and putting my musical career on hold I got married to my high school sweetheart (I had known him since elementary school). I owned retail, and wholesale businesses with my husband, that I later divorced. He kept the businesses as a result of our divorce.
I ended up working for a matrimonial law firm where I learned more about divorce than I thought was possible. I now know what makes the difference between good and bad attorneys, and great ones.
I have furthered my education by going back to college, taking training seminars, and gained certifications in different areas that have helped me to become an independent thinking person. Independent enough to start my own business
I am a well rounded individual. My personal knowledge of life, divorce, and business combine into a unique quality of information that I have been sharing with others for years.
Through this website I can reach out to others that have their own "unique set of circumstances." I know there are many of you out there, and you know who you are. My goal is to help others find peace of mind with whatever it is they are needing help with. Legal advice you get from your attorney. Psychological diagnosis from a psychiatrist or psychologist. What about everything in between. Sometimes all you need is a little help staying focused on what your goal is. Maybe you want to find a goal and set up a game plan. Maybe it's getting organized... if you are like I was, mail piling up, not knowing where to start, how to keep track of all the stuff you seem to accumulate during a divorce. Maybe it's finding all the necessary papers your attorney has asked you to "simply gather together for them and drop off at their office"
If any of the above sounds familiar, welcome to the club,
YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
The other area I specialize in is life after the divorce. How to move forward in a healthy and positive way. Loose the old baggage you carry with you like a ball and chain around your ankle. For all you ladies out there, instead of a ball and chain let's find a beautiful ankle bracelet that compliments your new life. For all you men if you have something you have always wanted, but never got, let's find a way to make it happen. If you feel like you always end up in the same kind of mess when it comes to relationships, let's try to troubleshoot and figure out why.
I am excited that you have taken time out of your hectic schedule to visit my website. Thank you!!
